Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty, Randeep Hooda
Cocktail is the story of three friends caught in a love triangle. Veronica (Deepika Padukone) is the quintessential party girl living without a care in the world; she’s an independent spirit hiding the pain of a troubled childhood. Meera (Diana Penty) is the good girl – the girl every mother-in-law imagines for her son – ironically, Meera is in London thanks to her hoax marriage to Kunal (Randeep Hooda), who marries her for money and upon calling her to London, ditches her at the airport. When Meera finally comes to find her ‘husband’ in London, he blatantly tells her to get lost and out of his life; Meera finds herself homeless in a foreign city. Fate brings Veronica and Meera together, and Veronica offers her a place to stay until she gets her matters sorted out. Gautam (Saif Ali Khan) is a ladies man, and after a one-night stand with Veronica, he also becomes rather comfy and starts living with the girls. Things change when Gautam’s mother arrives from India after Gautam lies to her and tells her that he’s found the ‘one’. Circumstances make Gautam lie again, and tell his mother that Meera is the girl he wants to marry. When these two have to lie about being a couple, things start getting complicated. Only time will tell whether the three can remain friends…
Verdict: A must watch!
