Fancy upholstery doesn't come cheap, either in the US or Pakistan. However, in Pakistan, it is certainly cheaper than the US. Moreover, the choices available at different fabric stores are so varied that everyone can find something to suit their taste. Blinds, roman shades, and curtains are not only tailor made in a matter of a few days, but are also easy to ship to the US.

Since curtains and blinds happen to be a hot favorite of home owners looking to do up or redo their decor, we went for a short expedition in Lahore's Fortress Stadium for what kind of fabric choices are available. The one shop we found to offer the most choices was Sheikh Jee Fabrics. Other shops in the area also offer a range of choices similar to and, some strikingly different from, the Sheikh Jee portfolio. However, we can assure you, that a trip to Fortress for curtain and/or blinds shopping will not be a waste of your time!
