Ban Ki Moon, UN Secretary-General described the situation in Pakistan as a ‘sea of suffering’; the floods have destroyed entire villages and left millions homeless. Pakistan’s infrastructure is in ruins and it will take billions of dollars and many years to rebuild. Other than the obvious devastation and loss of life, there is ongoing spread of deadly diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, acute respiratory infections, hepatitis and malaria. The scale of devastation has yet to be discovered – there is more to come and all of us must be prepared to assist, volunteer and donate in any form possible. To overcome this situation, we urge you to donate to these credible organizations providing relief to the 20 million people who have been affected by this natural disaster.
