Haroon launched
his new video "Go Saabjee Go" recently,
this is what he had to say about his new release:
In the video I am
performing with my band in a prison cell. This is
meant to symbolize the people of our nation that have
been held captive by corruption and self-serving leaders.
Now let me make this clear….this song
is not about any one government or individual. The
Saabjee I sing about is a corrupt frame of mind.
I believe all of us as individuals must play our role
as citizen’s of Pakistan to highlight corrupt
elements and wrongdoing. And many of us can start
by not pointing fingers at others
but getting our own house in order.
This video
and song is about good music and entertainment with
a message on a relevant topic. It is meant to make
you smile and tap your feet while making a point.
I want to thank everyone who participated in the video.
The lead actors Omar, Ali, Masooma and Khalid did
such a great job, and of course I want to thank the
very talented director Jalal. “Go Saabjee Go”
certainly is one of my favorites’ out of the
many videos that I have made. Enjoy!
