RDB consists of 3 brothers, and now a new addition is
my wife Nindy Kaur, who is the official female vocalist
of the group. You can class her as the Fergie of RDB
like black eyed peas.
Approximately 9 years ago, started as wedding
DJs and then went on to pursue production, and now singing.
The RDB name was a mix of R'n'B and switched the N with
a "D" for DHOL, so it’s Rhythm/Dhol/Bass.
The UK Bhangra scene is huge; UK producers have successfully
mixed eastern and western style music. I suppose this
is because they are the 4th generation of Desis in the
UK, so they're becoming more and more clever with what
they produce. They've learned to integrate both European
House beats with Bhangra beats to create a new form
of music.
I see us producing for big Bollywood soundtracks as
well as working with mainstream artists. We just keep
pushing our music in every genre. We like to challenge
ourselves as musicians and producers, and create new
sounds.

It’s been a HUGE boost for us as the songs we
have done have been featured in major films with huge
budgets and big actors rather than doing a bunch of
C grade films and trying to work up. This has been the
reason that we've been asked by the producers as well
as the actors to perform with them on several big platforms.
We are going to be doing several new tracks in Bollywood
in 2009. We will also be releasing our next album RDB
WORLD in 2009.
Everywhere! (laughs), from one side of the world to
the other; and the US is a big market so we're there
quite often, so you will see us there very soon.
Many times, we love it, great
crowd and awesome place. We've performed for all kinds
of events, from a crowd of 30,000 people to private
event for only 3000, such as for the commissioner of
Pakistan. We had a sold out show in the famous Qadafi
Stadium in Lahore. It was a truly memorable event for
us.
JAL is very cool, Ali Zafar and
Shazia Manzoor both have superb voices, Rahat Ali Khan
makes amazingly graceful music… there are just
so many, I can go on and on.

Not to trip up and fall over, it
looks really bad if you do. We just try to be ourselves
on stage and vibe with the crowd; it’s the best
way to do it. The worst thing is if you're not interacting
with the crowd. The crowd needs an entertainer, not
just a good vocalist.
RDB’s new album is coming out very soon, so keep
your fingers crossed! Also, Nindy Kaur’s debut
album will be out early 2009, and a host of Bollywood
projects coming next year as well.
Well, firstly I would like to thank the Post
for this interview, and for the fans, we love you guys
and appreciate everything you guys do...thanks for the
support and spread the word about RDB, much love thanks.
